The Centre supports evidence-based practice in services for vulnerable children and families. Research is vital to inform that practice and the development of policies and services across the sector.

For this reason, facilitating and publishing research on sector issues remains a strong focus for the Centre in association with the Centre's Expert Advisor, Professor Cathy Humphreys at the University of Melbourne.

The Centre publishes research monographs and policy submissions, as well as contributing to reviews and inquiries such as the Protecting Victoria’s Vulnerable Children Inquiry.
