Sector Research Partnership
The Sector Research Partnership (SRP) commenced in July 2011 as a collaboration between the Centre, the University of Melbourne, and 14 child and family welfare organisations to carry out research to improve the wellbeing of children, young people and families.
In particular, the partnership will identify and establish research priorities; develop strategies to implement them; undertake research; synthesise research findings and practice; and embed research in training and professional education.
A reference group guiding these aims comprises representatives of seven partnership members, the Centre and the University of Melbourne.
The SRP continues the long-standing collaboration between the Centre and Professor Cathy Humphreys, formerly the Alfred Felton Chair in Child and Family Welfare at the University of Melbourne, a role which began in May 2006 and concluded in May 2011.
Professor Humphreys now chairs the SRP in addition to her role as Expert Member of the Centre's Board.
The SRP is a key component of the Centre's overall research program, and project details will be updated here. Research-related stories will also appear in the news section of this website.
