The Centre recognises that services for vulnerable children and families depend on a skilled workforce.

As a registered training organisation (RTO), the Centre offers a range of accredited and non-accredited training to members and non-members, consults to determine the learning needs of individual organisations and the sector as a whole, and promotes its own events through an online training calendar – for our current programs, see Centre Events or download the PDF below.

We also promote selected external events of value to the sector, and partner with our members and stakeholders to deliver joint forums and seminars – see Other Events.

A key part of the Centre’s work in this area is in developing and delivering a Residential Care Learning and Development Strategy (RCLDS), including exclusive free training for Victorian residential care workers to maintain and enhance their skills.

An annual Resi Rocks event is a focal point of these efforts, bringing together hundreds of “resi” workers to celebrate their achievements, share their experiences, and learn from national and international leaders in the sector.
