Deb Ball 2017

Tagged under:

The Centre is proud to be holding another Debutante Ball in 2017 for young people who live, or have lived in out of home care. The ball is for young people aged 16-25 years from anywhere in Victoria who have spent time in foster, kinship or residential care.

It is a fantastic opportunity for young people to get dressed up and have a glamorous night out. Girls will get their hair and makeup done on the afternoon of the ball, and each will receive two tickets for the night. Boys will receive one ticket.

For young attendees in the metro area, 10 weeks of dance lessons will be provided in the lead-up to the ball in October. For those in regional or rural areas, we encourage the young person to attend at least one dance class before the ball.

Applications to attend the ball are now open, and will close on July 17, 2017. Find the application form for an individual here, and for CSOs here. Applicants or their carers will also need to fill out a medical form (including information about food allergies), and a media consent form. There will be cameras on the night, so please let us know if you or your client does not want to be photographed or interviewed.

If you are a potential attendant or want to provide more information to your client, take a look at our FAQ for debutantes. Or, read our FAQ for agencies.
