Jamie Crosby

Our CEO

Jamie Crosby is the Chief Executive Officer of the Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare – the peak body for children, young people, and families across Victoria and Tasmania. Trained as a youth and family worker, Jamie’s work spans frontline delivery to national policy and advocacy, both within the federal public service and the not-for-profit sector.

Jamie’s partnership-based approach underpinned more than four years of leadership at Families Australia, a national advocacy body representing more than 600 members and stakeholders. He has a strong commitment to inclusion and equity and supporting First Nations reconciliation and self-determination. Jamie has held senior leadership positions in the National Indigenous Australians Agency, the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet and social policy agencies and departments. Prior to joining the public service, Jamie was an executive at the YWCA of Canberra that drew upon 15 years of previous work in non-government sector.

With a proven record of shaping policy and program design, Jamie is passionate about ensuring systems and services support and reflect the aspirations of children, young people, families and communities. He strongly believes in the importance of supporting people with lived and living experience to be included in designing systems and services, and to have a voice in leading change. Jamie holds a Master of Public Policy, a BA in Youth Affairs, and is a qualified AICD Director. From board governance and advisory roles, to leading major strategic initiatives, to government advocacy, Jamie’s leadership is underpinned by his appreciation for the experiences of children, young people, and families.
