Future directions in permanent care and adoption

The Centre – together with the Foster Care Association of Victoria and Post Placement Support Service – recently hosted a consultation forum to discuss issues in adoption and permanent care. Volunteers subsidise cost of caring for vulnerable childrenA forum today will hear that volunteers who house and care for thousands of Victoria’s vulnerable children and young people are subsidising the real costs of care due to inadequate government reimbursement.
