Legal Issues Facing Children and Young People in Residential and Out of Home Care

The Centre has invited a panel of experts  to discuss the common legal issues facing children and young people in residential care, and the out-of-home-care system more broadly.

Our experts will talk us through how we can help children and young people access legal assistance and to support them through any legal actions.

We will hear from YouthLaw, Victoria Legal Aid, the Victorian Aboriginal Legal Service and WestJustice.

 

Who should Attend:

Residential Care workers, Family Services workers, Foster Care workers- anyone who works with children and young people in out-of-home-care who may be at risk of coming into contact with the legal system.
