Manage People Performance

Aim of the training :

 This course will equip participants with the skills to manage the performance of staff who report to them directly. Participants will learn to develop key result areas and key performance indicators and standards, coupled with providing regular and timely coaching and feedback to their staff, that provide the foundation for performance management.

Also covered in this course is work allocation and the methods to review performance, reward excellence and provide feedback where there is a need for improvement.

The course makes the link between performance management and performance development and reinforces both functions as a key requirement for effective managers.

The content of this course is in line with the accredited unit of competency: BSBMGT502 Manage People Performance.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this training participant will be able to:

·         Allocate work by consulting with relevant groups/ individuals and developing workplans.

·         Assess performance by designing and conducting performance management and review processes

·         Conduct formal and informal feedback session with staff to address performance.

·         Manage follow up including developing performance improvement and development plans, providing specialist support and services, monitoring and coaching.
