The Family Violence Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management Framework (MARAM) has been designed to increase the safety and wellbeing of Victorians by supporting prescribed services to identify, assess and manage family violence risk effectively. MARAM has been established in law under Part 11 of the Family Violence Protection Act 2008. From 19 April 2021, Multicultural casework services were prescribed under MARAM.

MARAM Brief and Intermediate Level training

The Department of Families, Fairness and Housing, in partnership with the Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare will be delivering tailored MARAM webinar training for practitioners in Multicultural casework services. The training, which consists of four modules, is targeting workers who have a role that aligns with the Brief and Intermediate level of MARAM. Training relevant staff is a requirement for organisations who are aligning their policies and procedures to MARAM.

This training will support workers to understand their responsibilities under MARAM, including what it means for their day-to-day practice. Training is provided at no cost.

If you require further guidance on your alignment at a Brief and Intermediate level, please see the MARAM responsibilities: Decision Guide for Organisational Leaders.

Please note that anyone who has registered for this training who is not in from a Multicultural casework service may have their registration reviewed. If you have questions about this or special circumstances you wish the facilitators to consider, please contact the team. Further information on MARAM training for other workforces.

All FOUR training modules must be completed in order to receive a certificate of completion.
