This training is only available for residential care workers in Victoria.

Aim of Training

Aimed at primary care workers, but suitable for other workers too.  This training will provide participants with the tools needed to maintain their safety and the safety of their client.

The training will also include overview and analysis on best practice of critical incident procedures.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Implement a range of de-escalation techniques
  • Implement key principles of negotiation
  • Skill to protect oneself from violent and dangerous situations
