Residential Care Beginning Practice

Expression of Interest for RCC/RPL

 

The Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare is offering RCC/ RPL for eligible participants in the following 4 units of competency that form a part of the Residential Care Beginning Practice

  • CHCCCS009 Facilitate responsible behaviour

  • CHCPRT009 Provide primary residential care

  • CHCRPT010 Work with children and young people with complex trauma and attachment issues and needs

  • CHCMHS007 Work effectively in trauma-informed care

RCC/RPL is open to residential care staff who have skills and experience associated with the competencies included in the 4 Beginning Practice units.

Skills and experience will be required to be evidenced. Some forms of evidence may include:

  • position descriptions

  • supervisor reports

  • brief CV

  • diaries/task sheets/job sheets/logbooks

  • training records

  • membership of relevant professional associations

  • references/letters from previous employers/supervisors

  • industry awards

  • any other documentation that may demonstrate your experience or support your claim.
