RCLDS: Skilled at Looking After Children (LAC) Training

FreeThis training is available to Residential Care Workers in Victoria only, delivered over 2 days; 11th of March and 12th of March 2021.
This workshop provides participants with an understanding of the Looking After Children (LAC) processes and frameworks and the role case managers, practitioners, residential workers, carers, various stakeholders, families, children and young people play in its implementation.
It provides an understanding of the Best Interests Case Practice model and the importance of embedding Looking After Children (LAC) to ensure effective planning, best practice and good outcomes are achieved for all children and young people in out-of-home care.
Learning outcomes:
- An understanding of the Looking After Children (LAC) processes and framework
- Understand how the Best Interest Case Practice Model and Looking After Children (LAC) processes and framework are integrated to ensure best practice and good outcomes for children in out-of-home care
- Involve children, young people, families and other stakeholders in the Looking After Children (LAC) processes and framework
- How to complete the Looking After Children (LAC) care and placement plans and other records.
Duration:
6 hours split into 2 x 3 hour modules over two days.
Thursday 11th March – 9.30 am – 12.30 pm
Friday 12th March – 9.30 am – 12.30 pm
