Residential care workers are situated across the state and often have limited spare time to attend face-to-face training. The Centre’s online learning modules provide the perfect solution to this challenge.

DHHS Fire Safety Training

This is a Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) module &; Fire safety induction program for 24 hour supported accommodation. Since December 2013, the training requirements for staff working in 24 hour government funded and managed residential facilities has changed & the strategy now focuses on & safe place and safe people.

Good Notes & Documentation

This is an online, interactive training course for residential care staff on a range of issues to do with keeping children and young people safe online.

Infection Control

This is an online, interactive training module for residential care staff. It teaches participants about the importance and essential components of infection control procedures in providing quality, child-focused residential care.

Supervision conversations

 Supervision conversations steers you through the skills needed to reflect on the content of training; draw links and contextualise between past, present and future practice issues; and discuss what barriers and opportunities are posed by implementing the learning in practice.
