Statement of support: International Transgender Day of Visibility

This International Transgender Day of Visibility we stand in solidarity with the trans and gender diverse community. As allies, we celebrate trans and gender diverse children and young people and support the right for gender identity to be recognised, respected, and celebrated.

We envision a world where every person, no matter their gender or the way they dress, feels safe and has the opportunity to grow and thrive in school, at home, at work, and in the community. A world where transphobia is called out, challenged, and becomes a thing of the past.

To promote the inclusion and safety of trans and gender diverse people, we stand in support of children and young people to express themselves and live life as their true selves this and every day.

Let’s bring the Murugappan family #HomeToBilo

As Victoria’s peak body for child and family services, representing community service organisations working directly with vulnerable children and families, the Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare understands

The Centre for Excellence acknowledges the Tradition Custodians of the land on which we work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. Sovereignty has never been ceded and this was and always will be Aboriginal land.
We appreciate and celebrate diversity in all its forms. We believe diversity of all kinds makes our teams, services and organisation stronger and more effective.
