Residential Care Awards 2020

It is more important than ever, this year in 2020 when faced with COVID-19, that we recognise, celebrate and encourage the work of the residential care workforce across Victoria and that it continued to contribute to the positive outcomes for children and young people living in residential care.

Hosted by the Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare, funded by DHHS Victoria this event will be presented virtually via zoom, with Hon. Luke Donnellan MP, Victorian Minister for Child Protection, Disability, Ageing and Carers awarding recipients.

Frequently Asked Question

Unfortunately, due to community safety measures and in line with government directions around the COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease), we have made the decision to postpone the Centre’s annual Resi ROCKS event on 19 June 2020 at the MCG in Melbourne.

While we are very disappointed, the decision to postpone is necessary for the protection of all those involved in the event and to help reduce transmission of the virus.

The Centre plans to host Resi ROCKS 2021 – expecting it to be bigger and better than ever!

These awards are open to any individual or group working in DHHS Out of Home Care funded residential care units in Victoria, who contribute to positive and professional residential care of children and young people.
