The Centre is delighted to introduce Beginning Practice for Residential Care Workers to our 2019 accredited training offerings.
From 1 January 2019, all residential care workers providing direct care in a residential care home that is funded or delivered by the Department of Health and Human Services (the Department) are required to hold or be undertaking, either:
- Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential and out-of-home care)
- Or; a recognised relevant qualification, plus completion of a short Top Up Skills course
