Our Training Services

Sector Support Training

Providing professional development and training opportunities for the child and family services sector.

Our training aims to support workers with their professional development, providing practical training for all client-based workers. Focusing on skills and knowledge required to meet the demands of varied roles within the sector and other related areas.

The Sector support training is targeted to case workers, social workers, counsellors, nurses, drug and alcohol workers, practitioners who work with family violence and trauma, educators and any other industry that interacts with young people.

Sector Support training covers a varied range of training to meet different requirements; self- care, conflict management, Leadership skills, mental health, motivational interviewing, case notes and record keeping, effective communication, working with young people, trauma, Autism, suicide intervention, AOD, difficult conversations and defusing and debriefing.

All the training that we offer through our calendar can be customised using your own organisation’s policies, standards and documentation. We also work with organisations to develop or tailor training, based on the organisation’s specific requirements. These can be booked for a time that suits your organisation or staff group.

For regional areas this is an economical way to ensure that staff can meet their professional development requirements by having the training in-house. All training sessions can accommodate up to 25 participants per session with an exception of a few that can accommodate larger groups.
