As the peak body for organisations working with children and families in Victoria, the Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare offers a range of training and professional development programs to strengthen the capacity of organisations to provide services that best suit the needs of vulnerable families and children.
In addition to the core training offerings listed below, The Centre can provide customised training solutions to meet your organisation’s specific training needs. We offer in-house training via a variety of delivery modes in suitable locations across Victoria and Tasmania, in our training facilities in Melbourne’s CBD or virtually online. Coaching aims to enhance practitioners’ capacity in a safe environment to reflect, encourage learning, and explore new understandings and skills
Cultural Awareness Training
Delivered in conjunction with the Victorian Aboriginal Community Services Association Limited (VACSAL), this workshop is designed to help participants develop the requisite knowledge and skills to effectively engage and support First Nations people and their community.
Managing Care & Professionals’ Teams
This training will teach participants the difference between Professionals’ Meetings and Care Team Meetings; the What, When, Why and How, whilst capturing the voice of the child/family.
Navigating the NDIS
This workshop is designed to deliver practical, pragmatic training for child and family sector staff who work with clients who need support form the NDIS.
