NDIS Issues Paper

Together with National Disability Services and Early Childhood Intervention Australia, the Centre has contributed to a forum and issues paper for the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

The issues paper summarises key themes from the forum that took place in November 2012, including:

support for NDIS
need to retain family focus and trans-disciplinary collaboration
empowerment of families
Choice
outcomes and evidence
inclusion and universal services
appropriate expertise / workforce
transitions
safeguards and Quality Standards
funding, accountability and monitoring
cohorts with particular needs

It is expected that this paper will inform stakeholders contributing to the development of the NDIS.
