Judith Newbold – retirement

The Centre’s long-standing manager of Learning and Development – Judith Newbold – has recently retired.

We would like to thank Judith for her enormous contribution to the Centre over the past six years, with some of her significant achievements including:

  • Delivery of Learning and Development budget surplus in every year, plus introduction of a system to monitor financial performance.
  • Establishment of partnerships with a range of key organisations, including VicServ, Brit, PeakCare, ACWA, Swinburne University, DHS and BRIT.
  • Introduction of topic-led discussions for quality improvement.
  • Facilitation of regional Learning Circles.
  • Provision of support and hands-on assistance to organisations needing help with CSO registration.
  • Annual consultations to tailor Learning and Development activities to sector needs.
  • Expansion of numbers of accredited training programs offered by the Centre.
  • Creation of an online training calendar.
  • Management of a number of significant projects, including the Best Interest Case Practice Series, Sharing Innovative Practice, Leaving Care and many more.

Details about changes taking place within the Learning and Development team will be announced in the coming weeks. Josh Fergeus is currently acting manager and keen to discuss opportunities to tailor training to suit your organisation's needs.
