Creating a culture of safety, wellbeing and learning: a two-day professional seminar

The Sanctuary Institute Australia and MacKillop Family Services are inviting community services organisations and schools across Australia to attend a two-day professional learning seminar that will support staff to create a culture of safety, wellbeing and learning in their schools or organisations.

Participants will learn about The Sanctuary Model, a trauma-informed, whole of organisation change model that responds to the impact that chronic stress and adversity has, not only on those who experience it, but also on the staff who work with them and on organisations as a whole.  The professional learning will focus on how to reduce stress, disengagement and disruption, and increase hope.

This seminar is relevant for schools and community services organisations. Teachers, School Leaders, Chaplains and Wellbeing coordinators; Early Childhood organisations; Child, youth, and family community service organisations; Disability organisations; Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community organisations; Youth Mental Health services; Youth Justice organisations; and Local Councils and State Departments responsible for the wellbeing of children and families should attend.

Melbourne dates:

August 16 and 17, 2018
9:00am – 4:30pm
