Step Up, The Bridge Youth Service

Timeframe

Program components

Service is offered to support young people and caregivers.

Usually several meetings occur prior to the beginning of group work to gauge the family’s motivation and begin to build some rapport with the young person. For this reason, it is often the case that young people are concurrently case managed by another service within TBYS.

The organisation promotes the Emotional Regulation and Impulse Control (ERIC) model. This approach is encouraged throughout all of their programs and is supported by a community of practice. The group facilitator is a social worker who integrates the ERIC model into the groupwork content.
