Child Protection and Cultural Diversity Forum

The Centre is partnering with VICSEG New Futures, the Office of the Child Safety Commissioner, the Office of Multicultural Affairs and Citizenship, the Centre for Multicultural Youth, the Ethnic Communities Council of Victoria, Care With Me and the African Communities Foundation Australia to present Child Protection and Cultural Diversity – a forum focused on providing better care into the future for children and young people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.  The forum will inform the responses of the child and family welfare sector to the recommendations of the Protecting Victoria’s Vulnerable Children Inquiry report around working with CALD children, youth and families.

The forum will be held at the Jasper Hotel, 489 Elizabeth Street, Melbourne, on the 29th of November.  Interested parties – including culturally diverse community members and child and family welfare practitioners – are encouraged to attend.  Register online here.
