Today’s media update focuses on the London riots, coverage of which has emphasised "criminal opportunism", failures of policing and individual moral responsibility, and has included descriptions of the spreading lawlessness as a sickness, contagion or virus.

Residential care and human rights in the media

Today’s media update leads with reported allegations by former workers and a former board member from Warrnambool community service organisation, Community Connections. There was also substantial coverage over the weekend of the human rights charter and sentencing.
